KASEY'S PASSION:
Kasey is a spunky and aggressive reporter that digs up original investigative and politically interesting stories for our evening newscasts. Kasey loves the thrill of a news hunt and is not afraid to ask tough questions. She enjoys the adrenaline rush of competing and pride of winning.
Being an athlete her whole life helped develop strong leadership skills. Most of all, it’s the basis of Kasey’s competitive nature and drive to be the first to report the news, accurately.
Kasey is active in the community and gives 200% in whatever she’s tasked. She takes her job seriously, but would be lying if she said she wasn’t having fun.
Kasey is a reliable team player that shoots, writes, edits, anchors and produces, when needed.
Her enthusiasm and a true passion for broadcast journalism reflect through her creative and innovative story-telling abilities. Kasey believes teamwork and clear communication are the keys to achieving quality stories, produced correctly and on time.
ABOUT KASEY:
Born and raised in Tampa, FL, Kasey has a natural love for salt water fishing, scuba diving, and spending time with friends and family on a boat. Kasey also loves to shred on her snowboard in Park City, Utah every winter.
Kasey Greenhalgh received her Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications from the University of Florida's nationally renowned Weimer College of Journalism & Communications.
Kasey is currently a general assignment reporter for NBC 26 WAGT in Augusta, Georgia. Kasey has a love for sports but her true passion is politics and investigating.
Being the daughter of an ex-professional Pittsburgh Pirate, Kasey was named after the poem “Casey at the Bat”. Kasey feels most at home when she’s at the ball park (especially when she gets to cheer on the Rays).
In her off-time, Kasey can be found on the golf course, playing with her dog or looking for her next adventure.
